Our Mission
"A unified voice protecting lien rights for suppliers and subcontractors."

The Georgia Lien Rights Coalition (GLRC) is committed to protecting lien rights for construction suppliers and subcontractors doing business in the State of Georgia.  GLRC works to keep liens an effective option to secure payment for materials and labor provided on credit, and to ensure that filing liens remains a simple process.  Toward these aims, GLRC tracks and influences legislation, educates its members, and facilitates communication within the construction industry to build consensus for fair and equitable solutions to lien-related issues.

Formation of GLRC

The Georgia Lien Rights Coalition was formed last February during the 2007 legislative session to inform suppliers and subcontractors about three proposed bills that could have potentially wiped out most lien rights in Georgia.  As a result of the Coalition’s immediate actions, over 1,500 e-mails where sent by suppliers and subcontractors to State Senators in protest to the proposed changes in the lien law, and these bills where subsequently not passed into law.

Your Voice Matters

Due to the collective efforts of hundreds of suppliers and subcontractors, the Georgia Lien Rights Coalition now exists as a strong and unified voice with one common purpose – protecting lien rights.  Suppliers and subcontractors are the backbone of the building industry in Georgia, and they need to work together to preserve the right to secure their debts and get paid.  If you are not already a member of Georgia Lien Rights Coalition, we strongly encourage you to join today.  An annual membership to this nonprofit Coalition is only $25.  By becoming a member, you will be able to stay informed, as well as have a unified voice to protect your lien rights.
